2007 - 2008 Phase

Tertiary Education and Occupation profiles (for Tertiary Education Graduates)
 Aims
The aim of this Project is to study the occupations of graduates of AEI and ATEI, extending the survey of the scientific field of Phase 1. This will be achieved by utilising the results of the field research of workers and businesses carried out by IOBE (the Institute of Economic and Industrial Research), and also making systematic use of other sources such as the Labour Force Survey, in order to analyse and investigate trends and details in the occupational status of graduates, as well as to establish which determining factors allow them to practice their occupation. Finally, the project will provide up-to-date information on a series of profession profiles, which, in conjunction with the regularly updated Courses Guide, will offer a complete overview of prospective studies and occupations available to secondary-school pupils and other interested young people.

In addition, it provides reliable information to secondary-school pupils (and their families) as well as to other interested young people on:
the available Study opportunities in Tertiary Education and at post-graduate level offered by institutions in Greece, together with
data on job prospects, according to undergraduate subject areas and the alternative routes of post-graduate studies and professional development
the conclusions of the ongoing Study of the factors that affect graduate employability and that have a bearing on students access to and choice of study programmes at AEI-ATEI,
common features (knowledge, abilities and capacities) of related professional profiles (categories of profession for which a degree is necessary) thus giving a picture of what is needed for particular economic sectors.
